"SAI RAM KI JAI"
Here is some news for sai devotees in Chennai. Chennaiites usually plan the weekend getaways along the ECR most of the times. We also would have visited the Saibaba temple temple at Neelankarai, the Puri Jagannath temple at Kanathur, Sri Nithya Kalyana perumal temple at Thiruvidanthai, and other tourist places along the ECR. A must-see location is the SAIBABA ashram in Pattipulam village. After crocodile bank and dolphin city, on the left side of the ECR, we can see a signboard indicating the sai mandir in the pattipulam village. The temple is in a calm atmosphere spread over acres of land along the seacoast. A long walk inside the serene lush greenery from the entrance to the temple inside is a delight for nature lovers.
The first temple is the sannidhi of RajaGanapathy in white marble. An exquisite idol of the elephant god. Then comes the huge meditation hall with a podium of above 10 steps where the lifesize marble statue of Bhagwan Sairam is seated .The statue is a replica of the Shirdi Saibaba statue and is also made by the grandson of the sculptor who sculptured the Baba idol in Shirdi.
The vast hall is bright and airy, open on all sides. The cool sea breeze from the east , the mild chanting heard throughout the temple complex and the compassion in Baba’s eyes will surely captivate anyone. A pradakshina around the temple also includes the Dwarakamayi and three other postures of Baba alongwith the original photographs .

Right opposite to the marble idol of Baba, we see a small copper idol of Baba in the meditation hall. On the eastern side of the hall, Mahameru has been placed and worshipped.
We can also directly go to the beach from inside the temple. Needless to say, to enjoy divinity and natural beauty together in the same trip, pattipulam is a very ideal weekend getaway .
